What's Brussel Helpt?

Brussel Helpt is BRUZZ's annual solidarity action in collaboration with Brussels residents, organisations, schools and businesses. This year, Brussel Helpt is supporting the organisation Accolage.

The Biggest Spaghetti Feast in the World

The Biggest Spaghetti Feast in the World? That means small and large spaghetti dinners all over Brussels, made by organisations and locals alike. And all on one day: Saturday the 23rd of November. On that day, we will turn Brussels and its surroundings into one big spaghetti feast!

You can participate by eating spaghetti at one of the many locations, or by making spaghetti yourself and letting the people of Brussels enjoy your cooking.

The charity: Accolage

Accolage is a Brussels organisation dedicated to fighting loneliness among elderly people. Loneliness and social isolation have a negative impact on the quality of life of many elderly people in our community. Accolage tackles the issue by building neighbour support networks.

The organisation actively tracks down vulnerable and isolated elderly people. They mobilise committed neighbours to provide support and help with small and large daily tasks. In these networks, elderly people not only receive help, but also offer their own support to others. Accolage puts 'small helping' and the connection between neighbours at the centre.

Accolage wants to use the financial support of Brussel Helpt to start up two new locations, one in Jette and one in Molenbeek. They also dream of a support programme for volunteers. You can find more info on their website.
